In this drama dealimg with the surgical ward of a big hospital we see the unbearable strain placed on a nurse in love with a married man who is dying by inches. At the limit of her endurance she gives an overdose of morphia and the confesses to the sister. The latter decides to say nothing to the authorities, and the activity of the hospital goes on in spite of the tragedy that has taken place.
